Support

UT for Me students receive personalized support throughout their college journey. UT for Me staff are in regular contact with students to ensure they have what they need to be successful at UT. Students complete a yearly check-in with a Student Program Coordinator, and staff are available year-round to answer questions and offer help navigating the Longhorn experience.

Each UT for Me student is assigned a specific Student Program Coordinator based on their college or school. Student Program Coordinators are holistically trained full-time staff who can support students’ growth both academically and outside the classroom.

In addition to the robust services offered by UT’s Counseling and Mental Health Center (CMHC), TimelyCare connects students to on-demand emotional support, appointment-based counseling and advanced psychiatric care by offering:

  • 24/7, on-demand emotional support through TalkNow
  • Up to nine scheduled counseling appointments per year
  • Self-care content, including yoga and meditation sessions and group conversations on a variety of health and well-being topics
  • Health coaching to support developing healthy behaviors
  • And more

UT for Me also has a CARE Counselor on staff who is available to provide clinical services to students.

UT for Me students have access to Financial Aid Counselors who can help them better understand the direct versus indirect cost of attending UT and how to maximize their funds to graduate with the least amount of debt. Financial Aid Counselors can assist with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) process and in navigating the verification and Financial Aid Notification (FAN) acceptance process.

Should students need financial support to help handle life’s most unexpected challenges, they will have the opportunity to apply for the UT for Me Emergency Fund.

UT for Me students benefit from the knowledge and experience of a team of Peer Ambassadors, who can help them engage with student organizations and events across campus. Sharing their experience from a student’s perspective, they advise students on campus life, organizations and more. Ambassadors host events specifically for the UT for Me community and connect with UT for Me students on Instagram.
